3D-landmarks

Orientation by landmarks is the most common method used to support drivers in finding their way. Zenrin has now introduced 3D Object and 3D Icon data of outstanding landmark buildings for European digital maps. The presence of a detailed landmark image will visually support navigation towards a landmark destination.

3D Object data allows the driver to always see a building from the perspective corresponding to his current position. 3D Icons, being flat representations of buildings in a 3D perspective, indicate landmark locations in less detailed map scales.
